Meant to post this one last Thursday, but the laptop was on the blink.
I’ve decided to cut out the crap from my daily diet – no chocs, biccies, cakes, beers or anything that’s basically no good for you. My goal is to lose a stone in weight (or 14 lbs if you’re reading this in the USA – or 6.36Kg if you’re on the metric system).
It’s now the following Tuesday and I’m coping fine. I’ve not slipped up and I’m drinking wine rather than beers (cant cut out all my vices, can I). I’m not so fixated with weighing myself – I’ll just go by trouser fittings to judge instead. I’m intentionally doing no exercise, since I cannot motivate myself enough to want to. I usually get a head full of steam about that stuff and after two weeks, the enthusiasm wanes when it dawns on me that I’ll have to keep at it all the time to keep fit. I kinda view it almost as a form of inverted punishment and I can think of far better things to do with my time than pump iron (ooh it brings a tear to me eye).
So, as long as I keep not eating crap, I should gently disappear…or at least bits of me will.

Another day, another dollar…or so I thought.
I’m stood on our showground yakking away to this middle-aged respectable-looking couple about the merits of our product when without any warning at all, I’m shat upon from a great height! 20 feet, or there abouts actually. The ’shat’ in question was from the bum of a pigeon. It hit me down my right front side and a bit on my head. Triffic eh?
They say that when this happens to you, it’s meant to be lucky. How the hell it can be considered lucky I’ve no idea. If you followed that logic through, then you’d probably win the lottery if you had a human shit on you! Although, I’m not sure whether it need necessarily be from a set height.
Anyhoo, I ended up selling again today so that’s number 3 for the year. The irony would’ve been thick if it had have been ‘number 2′. Ahem…

This is the first post I’ve made whilst under the influence of alcohol since I began the blog. I’m done drinkin a bottle of red wine tonight and I finally got my pc all back running on the network and everything. That was nearly two weeks in total – I should (and will) make provision to ensure that I can recover far faster from a similar situation in the future.
I’ve been in a relatively upbeat mood this week – mainly due to the fact that we’ve got a new sales manager in the office. The main effect that has had on me is that I no longer want to leave my job. It never was the job that bothered me – it was the people pulling my strings and the ripple effect it had on my staff member peers. I’m glad I listened to my pal Mark, who basically advised me to stick things out and see what came of it all. He obviously didn’t know that certain people would leave and it was largely coincidental how it all worked out, but his point was still valid.
Hopefully, I’ll merge well with the new team – Pete seems keen to build a new team and have them working together – which isn’t always the case with Sales teams – sometimes its dog eat dog.
The only thing left for me to sort out now is women…

Just a quick note to say that I know I haven’t been posting lately but I’m back now (well, not RIGHT now cos I’m just off to work). I fecked my pc trying to repartition the hard drive and its taken me a couple of days to get it back.
All the other stuff I’ve been mentioning in recent days is still all up in the air and I’ve been waiting for the dust to settle.
You’ll hear from me again real soon…

Over the last few days a couple of things have been weighing on my mind, giving me emotional ups and downs. I think it best to not comment any further on relationships, since things can and do change almost on a daily basis. I mean, things have gone full-circle (maybe) and its looking like I’m seeing someone again. But I shall report on this no more.
As regards the job hunting, I feel slightly different compared to recent days – my situation is that it may be best for me to stick things out a while longer – i.e. have a far more protracted job hunt. I’ve a sneaky feeling that things will unravel themselves over the next month or two.

Quick note to record that I got my second sale for January yesterday – which is good, cos that was what I’d targetted myself to do.

I just want to add another post to follow on from the one dated 5th Jan and to say that the posterity note can now be ignored. I’m just not her type. No matter – being single is what I’m accustomed to.

I’m now officially looking for work. I’ve decided it’s no longer healthy for me to continue working in my present employment, particularly when the other 3 sales guys have all decided to up-sticks and leave within the space of a few weeks. I refuse to to be the one remaining member of staff working for ‘Der Fuhrer’.
As of yet, I’m not sure who I would now like to work for…I need some time to think about this. I’ve got a not very pleasant sinking feeling inside me right now.

The title of this post describes me of an evening these days. I was jolted awake this morning by a lovely (!) phonecall from IKEA to advise they’d deliver my new sofa in the morning. That was fine, but I’d failed to tidy up and move stuff out the way for them. So, I’ve scurried around this morning attending to that. I hate when I’m awakened like that sometimes, because for a brief moment I was certain I was late for work until I realised its my day off! Grrr…
So, I shifted some stuff into my kitchen and only then noticed that I’d left the grill cooker ON overnight! What an absolute fanny!
I’d made some food last night in between bouts of Gears of War multiplayer and must’ve rushed back to get into the new tournament but forgot to return to the cooker. I blame Stella – she’s a wicked drink and an evil temptress!
Mid-morning arrived and along with it came two IKEA grunts with my sofa. They couldn’t find my flat. I had to bang on the window. Well, I didn’t have to, but boy did it help!
I’m quite happy with it – having removed the coffee table and replaced it with the sofa, I think my front room is nicer.
Think I’m done spending big for a while – although I do need to pump some money into my bathroom and maybe kitchen too…
